Animation contingency plan

As with everything in life, there can always be problems and scenarios that occur that
halt progress and work. These could be anything from technical issues to illness so
a variety of unexpected things can stop you from meeting your deadlines. For this
reason, it is very important to know and understand these events so that if they
do happen, you will loose a minimal amount of time.

The main issues that I will discuss are technical issues that effect the production
possess. My main concern is the equipment that I will be using. The first piece will
be the camera. I must make sure that I am equipped with batteries in case the camera
runs out of power. These batteries will save a trip to re-charge the camera and valuable
time. Another issue is that the camera might not take a picture properly, or there may be
an undesired object in the shot. To prevent this from ruining the animation, I will check
the images for faults after every photo is taken. I must also make sure that I look after
the camera's SD card. This contains all the images that I've taken and to loose this would
be tragic. The other piece of technology that may be a concern is the computers. The main
worry is that the computers will crash. This would cause me to loose all of my editing that
happened from the last save. To minimize the loss of work, I will save my work every minute.

Frames per second

As you know, animation consists of a consecutive series of images that play rapidly.
These images go so fast that you don't notice the gaps between them. Thus, creating
the illusion of consistent motion. The smoothness of the movement is effected by the
amount of frames that are displayed every second. This is refereed to as 'fps' (frames
per second). The greater fps an animation has, the smoother the motion. Likewise,
the lower the fps, the more jumpy the piece is. I've decided to make my piece 12.
This is because I only have a limited time to shoot my animation. Despite the loss
of quality, I think this would be better because I can get the pictures faster.

Animation

Hey,
I want to talk to you today about my idea for an animation. :)
I absolutely love music so I think that it would be good for me to make a music video.
My idea for the music video is to make an animated wave-form for a song. A wave form is a visual representation of the shape of an audio signal. These change with the music and are pretty hard to make. Making this video would be a very long and time consuming process but it would look really good. I got the idea and inspiration from the music video for the song ‘Delta heavy – Get by’. This includes a variety of waveforms that are made from different board games. I want to make mine from plaster scene or lego because it is easy to use.
